Harody was born in Puerto Rico where his Cuban parents were serving as missionaries. He was raised in New York City and Miami. He proudly served in the US Army as a Combat Medic Specialist and Radiology Specialist in Texas and Oklahoma. Harody graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Political Science. He worked in the Medical Radiology field for over forty years before retirement. His church service has included leading an adult Sunday School class, serving as pastoral assistant, church trustee, and church elder. He and Janice have been married for 37 years and have been members of River of Life church for about 20 years.
