At River of Life, we call our youth ministry River Kidz. Our goal at River of Life is to see our children become disciples of Jesus Christ!

We believe that children and youth grow in their relationship with the Lord through teaching, but also through relationships with their leaders and other children/youth. Knowing there are people other than their parents that care for them, are invested in deepening their walk with the Lord, and love them enough to hold them accountable is essential. We want them to know someone is there for them even when they don’t feel like continuing in their faith walk – which will happen at various points through their childhood.

All of our teachers are background checked and trained regularly to teach our children.

The Nursery (6 weeks through 3 years old)
River Kidz provides a safe and caring environment that incorporates activities such as singing, coloring, and reading age appropriate Bible stories. Our goal for this age group is to provide an environment where parents trust their kids are cared for and that they are in an environment that will encourage their participation.

River Kidz (age 4 through 1st grade)
At River Kidz we provide a safe and caring environment that incorporates Bible stories and lessons using crafts, songs and videos. Studies tell us that these are the beginning ages where the most significant foundation is being laid to help kids become excited to come and be a part of the Church on Sunday mornings. We begin to discuss what it means to be a Christian and emphasize the narrative Bible stories.

The Elementary Years (2nd through 5th grade)
The elementary years are so important. These are the years where we attempt to share with kids the need for a real and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We explain salvation and what it means to live a life that is committed to Jesus, including faith in Him for salvation.

Each week the kids will participate in Scripture reading, crafts, worship, and conversation. The focus is on growth and understanding in the basics of the Christian faith (i.e. books of the Bible, sin, Jesus’ death and faith are emphasized). Our curriculum is planned carefully and tailored toward that goal.

Teen Ministry – 6th grade through 12th Grade
Our teenagers meet weekly during the sermon. Our goal is to do life with them and help them to develop their own personal relationship with God. Towards this end, our teen ministry emphasizes mentoring.
