Laura was born and raised in the big city of Wuhan, China. She moved to the U.S. to attend a graduate program in economics at Kansas State University . There she met her husband and best friend, Chris. After graduation, they moved to Cincinnati and found a home at ROL church.

Laura currently works at Xavier University teaching Economics. She enjoys spending time with her husband. They love going to the Original Pancake House for breakfast, taking walks at Ault park, playing chess in coffee shops, and fishing out west in the summer.
