Chris was born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Growing up, he was heavily influenced by his father’s faith and accepted Christ as a child. Since then, there have been ups and downs but he has always felt God’s relentless pursuit. After high school, he attended the University of Idaho and later Kansas State University where he met and married his wife Laura. Upon first attending River of Life, they loved the warmth of the community and that it was a body of people from all different backgrounds united in Christ. Over the past 7 years, he’s been encouraged by God’s faithfulness both in his own life and at River of Life. In particular, he’s been grateful for the many recent newcomers to the church and their heart for service. He looks forward to the congregation building deeper relationships and encouraging each other in the faith as we live life together. He’s always up for a game of basketball and enjoys playing chess. During the week, he runs his own small software business. He and Laura love spending time with their two young children. He joined the Elder board in late 2019.
