Vernon has been married to his wife Crystal for over 38 years. They have two children and one grandchild. He studied chemical engineering at the University of Illinois, received an MBA from Lake Forest and has worked as a P&G Associate Director. He desired to become an elder because, “I have a continuing desire to serve the members of River of Life in matters of the church. I love being a servant leader for God and using my gifts to further the Church for God’s Glory. It is a joy to represent the people River of Life to help fulfill the Church’s Vision – following the commandment in Matt 28:19.”
